We meet five times a year at a local pub to discuss any matters relating to the Royal British Legion. We are responsible for:-
- Organizing the Remembrance Day Parade
- Fund raising for the maintenance of the war memorial by having a coffee morning or other functions.
Branch meetings usually finish about 21.00 hours then members retire to the bar to sort the world out.
After the AGM branch meeting which is normally in November a lunch is organized at a local pub.
We remember those whose names are on the village War Memorial which is at the junction of the B1368 and Ford Street.

They shall not grow old,
as we that are left grow old,
age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn,
at the going down of the sun
and in the morning
we will remember them.
The service records of all those who served in the 1914 -1918 war are recorded in the golden book of remembrance located in a cabinet in the church of St Mary the Virgin. This can be seen by appointment with the secretary.
The names of all those who served in the 1914 -1918 & 1939 -1945 are on framed Illuminated parchment hanging in the church.
New members welcome.
