War time evacuee of Braughing 2 Years, 9 Months ago
I was evacuated to Braughing in 1940 with five brothers and one sister.
My sister Hilda and myself were billeted with Mr(click) Walter Parker and Mrs Elizabeth Parker at the old council cotts behind Coxs Dairy farm.We spent a very happy duration in the village and it is still very much part of our childhood memories.
We went to the local school when Mr Stickland was head and Miss Langham,Mrs Hagger were teachers. At the time Mr Eagles was the Vicar.
I give thanks to the people of Braughing at that time for converting my life.
I am still in regular contact with Micheal Chalkley (a relative of the Glazebrooks I believe) and we often reminis about the village.

Hello Bob

I believe you stayed with my father's Aunt and Uncle. If you could share any memories you have of them with me i would be very happy to hear from you.

regards

Bob
