Loots and Walker 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
My ancestors John Loots and Mary Walker were married in Braughing in 1806. He died in the 1833 and she moved to Congleton in Cheshire where she lived for about 10 years before moving to Luton Beds. Can anyone throw any light on why she when so far away? He was a"workhouse master" when his children were baptised and also rang a peal of bells in the church in 1829.

Joyce,

My name is Peter Boylan and I am the Chairman of Braughing Local History Society. I would be very interested to discuss this further with you offline. Could you possibly email me at history@braughing.org.uk

This name is familiar to me, as I recently did some research into the Parish Workhouse, but hadnt _link_ed the name with the workhouse.

I would really appreciate further contact.

Peter Boylan
