Police recieved several reports of a male acting suspiciously in Standon on the evening of the 27th November.
The male was knocking on peoples doors stating he was doing research for "Mori" and was asking questions. Whist he was quizzing the persons at the door he was continuosly looking behind the occupant. When he established that the house had other peolple present the male fled the area.
The male was described as an Indian male, approx 30-40 years old, 5ft 3 to 5ft 6 inch, slight build, dark woolie hat, dark coat, tortoise shell glasses, sideburns and possibly a beard.

There are 12 categories to reflect industry and business at it's best in Hertfordshire.  The Hertfordshire Business Awards 2005, are held in assocation with Business Link, and this year the awards have been expanded to include the whole county.

The outgoing (2004) WBR committee has finally reached concensus and decided to distribute retained funds as follows: £200 each to Golden Age, Tennis Club, Bowls Club, Bellringers and Scout Band - £1000 in total.

The majority of visitors to the website (particularly users of the Firefox and Mac browsers) will find the new 'fixed width' of this website kinder and more balanced in layout. This includes users of 800 wide pixel screens too. However a minority of visitors may ask what happened to the strectchy version that filled the higher resolution screen without leaving wasted 'gaps' on each side?
The down side of the stretchy width is that many of the visitors with screens set higher than 1024 pixels wide (currently about 13% of visitors) don't like reading long lines of text exceeding 30 words per line stretched across the screen. However there will always be some who like it.
How can we cater for both tastes? Well don't despair if you scroll down to the left bottom of the home page you can choose your desired template stretchy or fixed
