A special charity Christmas fair held on Sunday 26 November 2006 in the Church Hall in Braughing was attended by hundreds, buying Christmas presents for their loved ones. There were toys for boys and girls, gifts including jewellery and scarves. There was home made produce donated by villagers such as Christmas cakes and puddings, homemade mincemeat as well as a whole range of jams, preserves and marmalades, as well as home made sweets. The event raised £2145.23 in three hours. The money raised will be used to support the work of St Mary's Church in Braughing. Many many thanks to all those who contributed both their time and energy in making the event such a success. Paul Currie - Churchwarden |
