The planning application to convert the disused barn behind No 50 Green End and create an access road onto the B1368 has been refused by the Planning Officer. The reasons given for the refusal were "The proposed access by reason of its siting, length and the extent of the hard surfacing proposed would be harmful to the open, green and rural character and appearance of the site and its surroundings and would constitute inappropriate development in the Rural Area beyond the Metropolitan Green Belt" and "The proposed access would result in the loss of the roadside hedgerow, and would thereby be detrimental to the visual amenities of this part of the rural area." |

Join with other people from the village at a Service of Thanksgiving at St Mary’s Braughing on Sunday 26th April at 5.30pm Organisations, societies, pubs, shops, businesses, the school, youth organisations, the community centre and of course the church – these and much more: we have so much to celebrate about the life of our village, so do come along. Organisations should by now have received invitations and a request for an A4 sheet of information – if you haven’t, please let the vicar know asap – we don’t want anyone to feel left out! The service should last about an hour and will be followed by drinks and nibbles with time to chat and peruse the display boards. (If you haven’t yet sent in your A4 sheet to the vicar, it’s not too late!) Don’t miss it! |
