On Sunday 25 November, 2007 the Christmas Fair in the Church Hall raised a total of £2033.28. The money raised will go to the "Friends of St Mary's", which is a registered charity charged with raising funds to help maintain and improve the beautiful 13th century church of St Mary's in the village. Over 200 people attended the Fair, open from 1pm to 6pm, where toys, crafts, jams and marmalades, christmas cakes and christmas puddings were available, all made and contributed to by residents of the village. Also, there was a wide selection of home made fudge on sale, with nearly 100 1lb packs sold on the day. The Friends of St Mary's would like to thank all those involved in contributing to the fair, both in terms of producing goods for sale as well as the team who worked very hard on the day to make this such a success. Many thanks also goes to those who took the time to come along to the fair and spend their money. THANK YOU ![]() Christmas Fair Team |
