District Council Recommends Approval to Housing Development Print E-mail

Plans submitted to East Herts District Council planning department by Croudace Homes and Landro Group back in April have been recommended by planning officers to be GRANTED. The application is to build 30 new dwellings on a greenfield site south of Gravelly Lane, where it meets Green End. An application submitted in September last year for 26 properties on this site was recommended for refusal on seven seperate grounds.

The Development Control Committee at East Herts District Council will meet to consider this application and make their decision. The meeting will take place at:

Waytemore Room, Council Offices, The Causeway, Bishops Stortford

on Wednesday 2 July at 7.30pm

For further details of the meeting, please go to East Herts Planning website by clicking here http://www.eastherts.gov.uk/index.jsp?articleid=7011

Braughing Parish Council strongly object to this proposed development and wrote to that effect to the District Council earlier this month, To see a copy of that letter, please click here.

Members of the Parish Council will be going along to the meeting and Andrew Peat, the Chairman of the Parish Council will speak on behalf of the Parish to the members of the Committee and will further strengthen our views. The meeting is held in public and the Parish Council would strongly encourage as many people to go along to the meeting as possible.

Come along and support your council in this bid to stop this over development on a greenfield site in our conservation area.

This application is the second one to be heard, so be there early.
