Braughing Library - open Saturday 10.30 - 12.00
Did you know that Braughing has its own library? Back in 2016 the local library van was withdrawn by the county council, so a group of ladies from Braughing WI decided to open their own library once it became clear that the service would be missed. With a preliminary contribution of books from the library service an appeal was put out on Facebook and contributions flowed in, resulting in a core of over 2000 books.
Book donations are welcome. Romance, thrillers, historical and biographies are all popular. There are now have over 3000 books and 20-30 regular borrowers. There is no fee - and no fines! We trust our borrowers to sign out their books and return them when they have finished with them. This is a community resource run by volunteers. Do come by and see what we have to offer on any Saturday or Tuesday - when the Coffee Morning is open.
