Braughing Methodist Church
The Street, Braughing, Ware SG11 2RD

Sunday Worship 11 am Minister Rev’d Gillian Hulme

Braughing is a small village church in a traditional Methodist chapel. The congregation prefer a more traditional style of worship but are open to occasional different approaches. The church provides the Circuit with two local preachers and two organists who also help out at other Circuit churches. Due to low numbers, Braughing Church has now become a ‘class’ of Bishop’s Stortford Methodist Church; however Sunday services are still held twice a month in the church, and a bible study in one member’s home on the other weeks.

Braughing village has a population of around 1200 people.  There are three churches in the village: the Anglican Parish Church, the Congregational (not URC) Church and the Methodist Church. The level of ecumenical involvement has been minimal in the past however it is hoped that with a new vicar in post there will be more opportunities to work ecumenically.
